Long before he became a London Knight, Jaxon Cover was a roller hockey phenom in the Caribbean.

He has not surrendered his first love yet.

In fact, the Knights forward and Grand Cayman resident used it as the main source of his training for much of the summer because there is no ice on his home island.

“I ended up travelling for roller hockey a bunch,” the 17-year-old said. “I went to Cali (California) and St. Louis, but for the majority of it, I was back home rolling around in the nice weather.”

A prolific scorer, Cover moved up to the pro division of the NARCh (North American Roller Hockey Championships) and produced three goals in four games. He played for the Arizona Konixx Outcasts, a club that participates in the Professional Inline Hockey Association.
