The Philbrook Museum of Art will host the official Tulsa premiere screening of Sterlin Harjo’s new shot-in-Tulsa series, “The Lowdown.”

Attendees will get an exclusive look at the first episode before it airs on television.

“The Lowdown” is scheduled to debut Tuesday, Sept. 23 on FX. The Philbrook screening will take place 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22. Admission is free, but space is limited, so RSVPs are required. Tickets go live 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8 at philbrook.org/calendar .

A news advisory noted that “The Lowdown” does not yet have a public rating, so treat it as MA (mature audiences).

The series stars Ethan Hawke as Lee Raybon, a self-proclaimed “truthstorian” whose relentless pursuit of the truth often lands him in trouble.
