GREENSBORO, N.C. — Guilford County Schools confirmed that the Guilford County Sheriff's Office are investigating the destruction of Northwest High School’s football field.

Police said a white truck drove onto the field around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 30 and performed several donuts before leaving.

Earlier, around 12:45 a.m., a dark-colored sedan was seen driving on the track surrounding the field before departing.

The vehicles were at the field at different times, and police said it is unclear if the incidents are related.

The investigation is ongoing.
