( Eurasianet ) — After months of televised interrogations that resembled a political reality show, and which resulted in the jailing of eight opposition figures for non-cooperation, Georgia’s ruling party has produced a document reinterpreting the country’s recent past to suit its present political priorities. Central to this reinterpretation is the recasting of the country’s 2003 Rose Revolution as a calamity, not the catalyst for the country’s political and economic awakening.
