Las Vegas Raiders wideout Amari Cooper had nothing left in the tank.

Just days before the Raiders were set to open their 2025 season, Cooper informed the team that he no longer wants to play and intends to retire. Cooper will not be on the field when the Raiders kick off the season vs. the New England Patriots on Sunday. This news came on the heels of rumors that he would retire last month.

The five-time Pro Bowler hangs up the cleats after 10 NFL seasons.

Cooper started last season with the Cleveland Browns but was dealt to the Buffalo Bills prior to the trade deadline. Despite the Bills making the AFC Championship Game, Cooper was not a major player in the offense. He caught 28 passes for 338 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games played, including playoffs.
