EAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — On Sept. 6, visitors to John Collins Park and downtown East Grand Rapids can spectate the annual Rhoades McKee Reeds Lake Triathlon athletic competitions.

"Our event is really spectator-friendly," Betsy Granstra, aquatic supervisor and race director for the City of East Grand Rapids, said. "It's a looped course within the city of East Grand Rapids."

Along with the triathlon, Granstra and over 250 volunteers will oversee a duathlon, a swim and bike combination race. a swim-only race and a sprint relay race. • Athletes compete in various events, including a triathlon and sprint relay race, at Reeds Lake and across downtown East Grand Rapids at the annual Rhoades McKee Reeds Lake Triathlon.
