House prices have dropped significantly, and the market is flooded with enough listings that maybe you can do the once unthinkable: sell your house with less concern about where you’ll live next.

It is the polar opposite of where we have lived for almost two decades. People would buy houses with little concern about what they would do with their existing homes because they knew they would sell in a week or maybe even a day in parts of the country.

The tipping point of the market has long been breached, and we are in a buyer’s market not seen since the 1990s. Realtors probably want that coveted buyer more than the seller, though they are happy to service the latter.
