Alfie Kilgour on 'awesome' Bristol Rovers return and enjoying life back in the West Country
Although still very much in its infancy, Alfie Kilgour’s return to Bristol Rovers and captaincy in north Bristol couldn’t have gotten off to a much better start.
The centre-back, who came through the Rovers academy as a youngster before making 119 appearances for the first-team, returned to his boyhood club on a free transfer in June after the expiration of his contract at Mansfield Town.
Despite having been back at the Gas for just over a month, his ties to the football club and area led to Darrell Clarke making the decision to hand over the captaincy to the 27-year-old.
