SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) -- A member of a Kentucky Mennonite community has been arrested for rape and incest.

Our sister station, Fox 56 in Lexington, reports that the investigation began Tuesday, when representatives of the Amish community in Scottsville contacted the local sheriff's office. Donald Stoner, 31, had reportedly confessed to someone in the community to committing the acts against a 15-year-old girl starting in 2022.

The Allen County Sheriff's Office says the man is facing charges of third-degree rape and incest. Fox 56 says the investigation is ongoing.

The area around Scottsville is home to one of 84 Amish communities in of various sizes in Kentucky, according to the Young Center for Anabaptist and Peitist Studies at Elizabethtown College.
