WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department and the Pineville Police Department will conduct a seat belt checkpoint on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025.
The checkpoint will be set up along WV Route 10 at the old Board of Education building in Pineville. Officers will be on-site from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
According to officials, the purpose of the checkpoint is to promote traffic safety, encourage seat belt use, and reduce traffic-related injuries and fatalities in Wyoming County.
Both departments thanked the West Virginia Highway Safety Program for supporting the initiative.
