CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) - What started with a single office suite in 2010 has grown into a lifeline for thousands of Northern Nevadans.

The Northern Nevada Dream Center (NNDC) is expanding its outreach as more families struggle with the rising cost of food and basic necessities.

Founder and Executive Director Susan Sorenson left a 21-year career at Greater Nevada Credit Union to lead the nonprofit full time. “I feel like we’re called to the day we step into Heaven to do what we can to reach people,” Sorenson said.
