CINCINNATI (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER) -UC Health will cut 50 jobs and eliminate its mobile stroke unit in cost-cutting moves brought on by what health system officials describe as “sustained industry challenges,” according to our media partners at the Cincinnati Enquirer
UC Health officials, who announced the cuts Sept. 4, said the layoffs would be made across the organization. All affected employees have been offered severance, they said, and laid off workers can apply for other positions at UC Health, which employs about 12,000 people in the region.
Employees who worked on the mobile stroke unit will not lose their jobs and will instead be reassigned to positions elsewhere.
