Finals footy is finally here for flag-starved Fremantle fans — and Optus Stadium has the perfect, purple-themed food and beverage line-up to adequately whet punters’ appetites.

While the Dockers prepare to welcome Gold Coast Suns for their do-or-die elimination final, stadium staff have been putting the last touches on their snack and drink offerings for Saturday night’s blockbuster.

And with tickets exhausted, the stadium is ready to play its role as the generous host, with Head of Food and Beverage Gemma Hansen unveiling a pair of food specials, including a one-off Anchor Smash Down Burger.

“It’s a smashed beef patty with cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, aioli and a burger sauce in a purple bun — and that purple bun is dusted with a Fremantle anchor,” Hansen said.
