QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) -- YOUR FIRST ALERT FORECAST FROM CHIEF METEOROLOGIST ERIK MAITLAND:

Overnight skies will become mostly clear. That means a chilly start to the weekend as a string of lows in the 40s begins. Mid 40s will kick off our Saturday and lows in the 40s will stick around through Monday of next week.

We’ll have weekend highs in the upper 60s to around 70 Saturday and Sunday before temps start warming up into the 70s to the mid 80s by the middle of next week. We’ll also be watching for a chance of showers around the middle to later portion of the week ahead.
