SHELTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A lawsuit filed by the family of Jimmy McGrath, a teenager who died at a Shelton house party in 2022, against the owners of the home the party was at, has been withdrawn, according to court documents.
McGrath died on May 14, 2022 after a fight broke out at a house party hosted by Tyler Rich and his father Ronald, according to the lawsuit. Raul Valle was found not guilty in July of murdering McGrath after a lengthy trial. McGrath was 17.
The lawsuit was originally filed in May 2024.
The lawsuit alleged that both Tyler and Ronald Rich were aware of the fact that teenagers were drinking under the age of 21 at the party, knowing that alcohol can cause minors and adults to become intoxicated, impaired and oftentimes violent or ag
