Over the past couple of years, the City of Coronado has been working on a project that resulted in the creation of a three-tiered system by which to classify the potential historic designation of properties in Coronado. This survey – the Historic Resources Inventory – provided an initial evaluation (performed by an independent contractor) of properties based exclusively on the architectural component of the City’s Historic Resource Code, Criterion C.

According to the Resource Code, under Criterion C, a property must demonstrate the retention of distinctive characteristics of a particular architectural style.
