O’FALLON, Mo. (First Alert 4)— The O’Fallon Police Department said Friday officers were searching for a dangerous dog that attacked its owners.
Police said it is a dark colored bull terrier mix weighing around 50 or 60 pounds.
Authorities said the dog attacked three of its owners Friday morning but at this time it is unclear why. Two of the three victims lost a lot of blood, according to police and had to be taken to the hospital.
Police said they attempted to contain the dog when they got on scene but it became very aggressive. Because too many people were around, police did not shoot the dog out of safety concerns.
