The wait is over; the 2025 NFL season is here.

Reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia kicked off the new season against NFC East foe Dallas last night. Now, the Eagles ' foe in Super Bowl 59 gets the next game going in an international matchup.

The Kansas City Chiefs will take on a divisional opponent as well to open their season with a game against the Los Angeles Chargers . But Patrick Mahomes and the other stars of this matchup needed their passports for this one as the two teams face off in São Paulo, Brazil.

This is the second NFL game to be held in South America. The first came last year in Week 1 as well when the Eagles beat the Green Bay Packers 34-29 in a Friday matchup from Arena Corinthians , the venue for Chiefs-Chargers this season.
