Gogglebox viewers were confused as they spotted one of their favourite stars was missing from the first episode of the new series, despite his family being present.

The 26th outing of the Channel 4 series returned with five new families - mates Jake, 27, and Calum, 31, hailing from Glasgow, plus sisters Rosie, 68, and Susie, 70, from Edinburgh, and 87 year old Sara from Yorkshire with her daughter-in-law Lara, 58.

Viewers were also introduced to the Gordons from Surrey, made up of mum and dad Andre, 49, and Sarah, 47, with their daughter Chee, 25, plus married couple Andrew, 62, and Alfie, 32, from the Cotswolds.
