BAY VILLAGE, Ohio — Nearly 36 years after 10-year-old Amy Mihaljevic was abducted in Bay Village and later found murdered, investigators say newly discovered DNA evidence could finally bring answers.

Thanks to advances in technology, recent FBI testing revealed hairs on Amy's clothes that had gone undetected for decades. Investigators say those hairs could belong to her killer.

"We say Amy's name every day. Every day we do something for this case," says Bay Village Police Sergeant Edward Chapman, noting all the work that goes on behind the scenes. "We share some of the same frustrations; we want this solved just like everybody else does. We're doing everything and anything to make that happen."
