ESOPUS, N.Y. — Marion Winter had 25 assists, five digs, and six aces to lead Mount Academy’s volleyball team to a 3-0 win over visiting Rondout Valley on Thursday, Sept. 4.

The Mount (2-0) cruised to a 25-6, 25-10, 25-5 victory.

Other top performers for Mount Academy were Gina O’Connell (eight kills), Meaghan Hofer (seven kills, four digs) and Julia Swinger (four aces, two kills, five digs).

For Rondout Valley, Weronika Mieszczak had seven digs and Chloe Basten had three kills and two digs.

Mount Academy has a match at New Paltz on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 5:45 p.m. Also on Tuesday at 5:45 p.m., Rondout Valley hosts Wallkill.

Wallkill 3, Saugerties 1

At Wallkill, the host Panthers improved to 2-0 with a 25-12, 25-18, 13-25, 25-20 verdict over the Sawyers (1-1).
