LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The humidity was definitely higher Friday, and it will remain high going into the weekend.

Temperatures will stay warm into the weekend with highs remaining in the lower 90s both days. Clouds and humidity will slowly begin to return as we move into Saturday as we are gearing up for our next system to move into the region. A few scattered showers are possible Saturday, but don’t cancel any outdoor plans over the 30% chance of rain.

A cold front will approach our area on Sunday and this could also spark a few showers; but not as widespread as it previously looked.

That front should bring another round of drier air back to SWLA for early next week with a possible reinforcing shot of dry air by the middle or end of next week.
