EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan State football fans are calling for improvement to the gameday experience after long concession lines and food shortages at last week’s home opener.
It was the first game with Levy Restaurants managing food and beverage service at Spartan Stadium. The company rolled out new menu options, national food chains, and a self-checkout system that lets fans grab their own items and scan them.
But many fans say the changes created unexpected problems.
“The lines were just unbelievable,” said longtime season ticket holder Dan Zwick. “I think frustration was week one, but week two, if they don’t get it right, that’s going to become angry.”
MSU student Leighton Hunt agreed that the crowds felt different. “It was definitely busier than last year,” he said.
