CHICAGO (WGN) - The son of former Ald. Walter Burnett (27th Ward) will be replacing his own father as the new alderman of the city's 27th Ward.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson announced Friday Walter Redmond "Red" Burnett Jr. will be filling the 27th Ward's vacancy left by his father who retired at the end of July.
