RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – If you’ve seen several stray cats in your area, the Logan County Humane Society could use your help.

The humane society says it is working to keep track of stray cat colonies in the community.

The reason? Rescuers say with the data gathered, they can provide more updated numbers of cat colonies to apply for grants and funding.

If you have a cat colony nearby, no matter the size, the humane society asks that you take a short video or photos and send them over to adoptlcpets@gmail.com.

Images can also be texted to 270-598-1229. Rescuers ask that you provide a brief description of the location and estimated numbers in the colony.
