CBS News announced a change in its interview policy for “Face the Nation.”
The decision followed complaints regarding an interview with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Noem accused CBS of editing her interview to “whitewash the truth” about Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a man mistakenly deported to El Salvador.
The interview had been taped in advance, prompting CBS to revise its policy. CBS stated that future interviews on the show would be broadcast either live or live-to-tape.
