CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Maupintown Film Festival is back for its 12th year at the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center.
"We're really sharing stories about the struggles of African-Americans in this country and beyond, but then also how we've come out of it. How we've taken things and made it beautiful," said Lorenzo Dickerson, d ocumentary filmmaker and founder of the Maupintown Film Festival.
