President Donald Trump on Friday mentioned Portland during a media availability in the Oval Office.

A reporter asked the president about whether he’s decided on the next city where he will send National Guard troops. The president responded, “yes, I have.” Trump didn’t say what city he had in mind. But he said, “we’re going to go into another place and straighten it out.”

The president then pivoted to the topic of Portland, saying he watched coverage on TV about the city on Thursday night.

Trump claims he just found out about the almost nightly protests outside the ICE building in Portland. He said, “we’ll be able to stop that very easily.”

Trump then says living in Portland is “like living in hell.”

This is a developing story.
