(The Hill) -- Federal immigration authorities raided a Hyundai electric vehicle (EV) plant in Georgia on Thursday, where they arrested 475 individuals as part of an ongoing criminal investigation into allegations of “unlawful employment practices and serious federal crimes,” according to officials.

“Of those, as I previously mentioned, 475 were illegally present in the United States, or in violation of their presence in the United States, working unlawfully, who have entered through a variety of different means into the United States,” the special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Georgia, Steven Schrank, said during a press conference on Friday.
