Two former Warren school officials scored another victory in their criminal cases Thursday when a district court judge threw out their charge of possessing marijuana within 1,000 feet of school property, leaving one of them charge-free while the other is only facing a misdemeanor.
Judge John Chmura of 37th District Court in Warren dismissed the two-year felony charge against Hollie Stange, the former superintendent of Fitzgerald Public Schools in Warren, and Amanda Carroll, former food services district at Fitzgerald, for smoking marijuana last December in a vehicle parked in a strip-mall lot adjacent to the high school at Nine Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue.
