The ballot to win free tickets to watch Sydney ’s spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks from one of the best vantage points in the city has opened.
The Cahill Expressway above Circular Quay Station will be closed off to traffic and transformed into a family-friendly event, with food, and live entertainment by country star Rachael Fahim and singer-songwriter Ned Houston.
Last year, 60,000 people entered the ballot to win tickets. This year there are only 8000 spots available in total, across both the 9pm and midnight fireworks.
People lucky enough to win a golden spot can request a maximum of five tickets.
Partygoers have until midnight on Friday 3 October to sign up to the ballot.
Winners will be sent an email by early December 2025.
