Authorities arrested Alehandro Chacon, 20, on Wednesday and charged him with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Andrea Martinez, 47, according to a news release from the Pueblo Police Department on Friday.

After obtaining a warrant, Pueblo police and the U.S. Marshals Service located Chacon and took him into custody on Wednesday. The release stated he was booked into the Pueblo County Jail and charged with first-degree murder after deliberation.

Martinez was shot and killed Aug. 14 in the 1600 block of Spruce Street, authorities said. Her death was Pueblo's ninth homicide in 2025.
