Former Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., bought a new 4,085-square-foot Care Creek home for $2 million.

Sinema, who left office in January, put $400,000 down on the house, according to public real estate records.

Her new home has five bedrooms, 3 ½ bathrooms, a four-car garage and a gourmet kitchen with white cabinets and granite countertops. It also has a primary suite with a gas fireplace, sitting area and stand-alone tub.

In 2018, the former senator helped usher in a period of Arizona Democratic wins that was part of transforming the state into a purple battleground. In 2022, she quit the Democratic party and became an independent.

In March of this year, Sinema joined lobbying and law firm Hogan Lovells.
