NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - The National Hurricane Center continues monitoring a tropical wave bringing limited shower and thunderstorm activity to the central tropical Atlantic, and its now seeing a lessened chance of possible formation.
The NHC says, "A drier air mass is limiting the potential for development over the next couple of days, and environmental conditions will remain only marginally favorable thereafter."
A tropical depression still has the chance to form the early to middle part of next week as this system continues moving westward at 10-mph getting closer and closer to the Lesser Antilles.
Formation chances for the next 48-hours is 30% and 7-days is 60%.
