Following a break from tropical activity, the Atlantic is once again stirring up trouble, and by the middle of next week, AccuWeather suggests a hurricane will impact the Caribbean.
“People in the northeast Caribbean should closely monitor forecast updates,” said AccuWeather Lead Hurricane Expert Alex DaSilva. “We expect tropical storm Gabrielle to form late this weekend to early next week and then strengthen to a hurricane as it approaches the Lesser Antilles.”
The National Hurricane Center seconds the belief that this storm system will develop into a larger storm. As of Friday evening, the center claims the system has a 70% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within the next seven days.
