Cameron Diaz is having a “ Bad Day ,” and she’s doing it in New Jersey.

Diaz, who recently returned to acting, is starring in the Netflix action comedy.

The production, which will be filming locally this fall, is casting Jersey extras (see application info below).

The actor will play a single mom who is having the worst day while trying to keep a promise to her daughter, per a July Hollywood Reporter description of the film.

Diaz rose to fame in the ’90s, starring in movies like “ There’s Something About Mary ,” “ The Mask ,” “ My Best Friend’s Wedding ,” “ A Life Less Ordinary ” and “ Being John Malkovich .”

She went on to star in “ Shrek ,” “ The Holiday ,” “ Charlie’s Angels ,” “ Gangs of New York ” and “ Bad Teacher .”
