CHICAGO - A Chicago man has been charged in connection to a deadly hit-and-run in January 2023.

What we know:

Lydale Durr, 48, of Chicago, was arrested on Thursday in the 1700 block of S. State Street.

He was identified as the person who fatally struck a 25-year-old female pedestrian while he was driving in Austin on January 27, 2023.

Durr was charged with one felony count of leaving the scene of an accident without reporting or rendering aid.
