OAKLAND — A 36-year-old man is facing several felony charges in connection with a car-to-car shooting last month on Interstate 880 in Oakland, according to prosecutors.

Hakeem Jones is charged with assault with a semi-automatic firearm, shooting at an occupied motor vehicle and discharging a gun at a vehicle, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

Prosecutors said the criminal complaint includes a charging enhancement for the use of a gun.

On Aug. 15, the victim was driving northbound on I-880 when he spotted Jones driving aggressively through traffic and trying to pass other motorists, according to prosecutors.
