Three people were charged in connection with a shooting in southwest Miami-Dade that left a 16-year-old in critical condition and paraplegic, police said.
The shooting happened at around 3:45 a.m. Friday in a residential area near Southwest 140th Place and Southwest 280th Street in the Leisure City neighborhood.
Authorities said they received a call about a person yelling, and when deputies arrived, they found the 16-year-old victim, Elijah Quintero, lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his neck and shoulder. He was flown to the hospital in critical condition.
Police said Napoleon Bryant, 20, is facing several charges, including attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault and tampering with physical evidence. Additionally, Bryant's sister, 22-year-old Tazaria Alize Miller,
