A section of the Coquihalla Highway/Highway 5 has been closed in both directions due to a semi-truck fire just south of Merritt, DriveBC says.

The closure is located between the Merritt and Coldwater Road exits.

This comes just hours after a section of Highway 5 between Hope and Merritt reopened following an unrelated closure due to a wildfire.
