St. Petersburg police charge man with multiple counts of possession and transmission.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A St. Petersburg man has been arrested on charges related to the possession and transmission of child pornography.

Detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit (CAC) initiated an investigation after receiving a tip about child pornography being accessed and shared online. Using various investigative techniques, authorities identified the suspect as 26-year-old Anthony Butcher.

The images reportedly involved children between the ages of three and ten. On Friday, Butcher was taken into custody and charged with five counts of possession of child pornography and five counts of transmission of child pornography.
