WINTHROP – Strong plays and stellar teamwork led Tewksbury to a 34-6 victory against Winthrop on Friday night.
This was the third consecutive season in which Tewksbury (1-0) won its season opener. This comes after the team reached the Division 5 semifinals in the 2024 season.
When speaking to his team’s effort, Tewksbury head coach Brian Aylward praised them for their ambition and “well-rounded” approach.
“We’re going to have everyone take turns, and everybody stay hungry to get the ball in (their) hands on offense,” Aylward said. “We’re going to get overmatched in different areas. Everybody’s going to rally for those guys that are in the biggest challenge.”
