Colin Pickering scored five touchdowns, including four in the first half, as Fonda-Fultonville defeated Canajoharie/Fort Plain 48-19 in the Class C football opener for both teams Friday.

Pickering opened the scoring with a 77-yard touchdown run and added TD runs of 13 and 35 yards before catching a 17-yard pass from Brayden Wassink to cap the scoring in a 35-7 first half. Wassink also hit Matt Oathout on an 80-yard TD pass in the half.
