GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The new interim president of the University of Florida is getting paid more than anyone who has ever had the job.
They signed a contract between Dr. Donald Landry and UF, showing that his base salary is $2 million a year, plus an additional $500,000 in performance bonuses.
Doctor Santa Ono, who was turned down by the state board of governors, would have made $1.5 million, plus $500,000 to run UF Health.
The board of governors will vote to confirm Landry next Thursday.
