CLEVELAND — Authorities say there is no threat of danger after a train car carrying chemicals overturned in an Akron rail yard Friday morning.

According to the Akron fire department, the single Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway tanker car, which contained hydrochloric acid, tipped off the tracks at 1907 East Market Street around 9:45 a.m. The fire department added that the car remained intact and there was no report of leaks.

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency responded to the scene alongside Akron police and fire officials and industrial waste company EnviroServe.

The tanker car was placed back on the tracks by four large cranes and fire officials said there was "no immediate threat of danger found."
