New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez will have to wait one more week to make his 2025 debut, as he’s been ruled out for their season-opener against the Las Vegas Raiders with a hamstring injury.

Gonzalez began his collegiate career with the Colorado Buffaloes before transferring to the Oregon Ducks for his final season. He was exceptional as a Duck, earning First-Team All-Pac 12 honors after totaling 35 solo tackles, seven passes defensed and four interceptions. Oregon finished 10-3 in Gonzalez’s lone season in Eugene.
