PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - In week three, the Pikeville Panthers hosted the Raceland Rams and won, 35-27.

In the first few minutes of the game, it was a defensive battle with both teams forcing each other to turn the ball over on downs.

The first quarter belonged to the Rams, as they went into halftime ahead 21-0.

After halftime, that is when the comeback began for the Panthers.

With 3:37 remaining in the third quarter, J.J Reynolds found Jeremiah Anderson for a 61-yard touchdown.

The Panthers went into the fourth quarter down, 27-7.

With 9:06 remaining in the game, Reynolds found Mikey Hager in the end zone on fourth and goal, making the score 27-14 in favor of the Rams.

Pikeville then went on to recover an onside kick on Raceland’s 47-yard line.
