RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – The Rio Rancho Aquatic Center will be shutting down later this month for renovations. The $3.2 million project includes installing a new HVAC system, dehumidification systems, plus stucco and rain gutters. The renovations will force the pool to close from September 15 to October 31.
During the shutdown, Rainbow Pool will hold lap swimming Monday through Friday, and open swimming on the weekends. The city said this is the first major upgrade project at the aquatic center since it opened back in 2008.
