GORDON COUNTY, Ga. — The Gordon County Sheriff's Office said deputies are searching for a driver after a car crashed into a church.

The sheriff's office posted about the incident on its Facebook page at around 8:50 p.m.

Other first responders were also called to the scene at Newtown Baptist Church. Deputies said a passenger car crashed into the church building.

There was no word on any injuries.
