Eagles fullback and special teams ace Ben VanSumeren will reportedly miss the rest of the season.

VanSumeren, 25, tore his patellar tendon on the opening kickoff of Thursday’s opener, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

The Eagles on Friday placed VanSumeren on Injured Reserve and signed veteran edge rusher Za’Darius Smith.

As VanSumeren waited for the cart to take him off the field, DT Jalen Carter was ejected for spitting on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. The Eagles eventually won 24-20.
